The Editor-in-Chief has retracted this article at the Corresponding Author’s request. After publication, the authors found that there were errors in the calculation of the dietary score component of LE8, which results in the inclusion of the incorrect study population. In addition, Fig. 1a y axis is labelled incorrectly, and there are further errors in the description of the study population.
The authors have also been unable to provide the ethics approval documents for this study upon request.
The Editor-in-Chief therefore no longer has confidence in the results and conclusions of this study.
Xiangmin Li and Ayao Guo agree with this retraction. Yan Zhao and Yang Song did not respond to correspondence from the Publisher about this retraction.
