Distribution of patients with pCR or non-pCR after completion of chemotherapy according to on-treatment biopsies with (tu+) or without (tu−) residual cancer cells. Of the 90 on-treatment samples without residual cancer cells (blue), 50% had a pCR at the end of treatment and 50% had a non-pCR. Of the 207 on-treatment samples with residual cancer (red), 8.2% had a pCR and 91.8% had a non-pCR.
